RHS trap team takes home state championship win
The Richmond High School Trap Team headed to Mason, Michigan, on June 21 with one goal in mind—bring home a state title! With eight squads and 36 shooters ready to hit the line at 9:00 a.m., the team was locked in and ready for an exciting day of competition. As the targets kept flying, Richmond kept climbing. Then came a huge performance from 8th grader Nolan Palombo, who shot the best score of his season at just the right time. His incredible round helped push Richmond to the top of the leaderboard and secure the 2026 USA High School Clay Target League State Championship! What an amazing accomplishment for this group of athletes. Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork paid off in a big way. Congratulations to all of the shooters, coaches, and families who helped make this championship season one to remember!
