American Civil War Shooting Association (ACWSA)

Richmond Sportsmans Club will host a ACWSA event the weekend of June 23-25, 2017 & Aug 11-13, 2017

There will be a Civil War shoot June 25-26th, and range setup the afternoon of the 24th. If you have never been to one of these shoots, it involves teams shooting knock down or breakable targets in timed events using original or reproduction Civil War firearms. Saturday morning starts at 9:00 am with a mortar match. One of the mortars is an original 8 inch siege mortar. This is followed by a revolver match. In the afternoon there will be carbine and smoothbore matches. On Sunday the musket match starts at 9:30 am. This year the American Civil War Shooters Association units will be hosting a combined shoot with the N-SSA's Northwest Territory skirmishers. There will be concessions available on the range. Shooters, anyone in period uniform, are more than willing to answer any questions.
